Excellent stay at the Craig manor hotel. Check in was faultless, staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are immaculate, bathroom was spotless, room came with coffee and tea and complimentary biscuits etc hairdryer in room. Bed was super comfortable Breakfast was great, lovely setting food for breakfast was plenty ranging from full English to fantastic doughnuts that you can take away for later! Position of hotel was ideal as just a short walk to lake Windermere and with the added bonus that parking is FREE. No negatives hotel was fantastic and we will be back

We had a super stay at Craig Manor, our room, which was not massive, had everything we needed, was super clean and maintained well by the room servicing team, as were all areas in the hotel. The view from the bar terrace was lovely and a great spot for a relaxing drink. The Rum Nicky breakfast was superb, an excellent choice of quality produce and the daily doughnut takeaway was welcomed, especially on leaving day for our long journey home. The only thing we missed was a restaurant on site, there are many nearby but we had a couple of days where we had walked a lot and would have liked to not have to go out again for dinner. Would we stay again, absolutely!!
We stayed at Craig Manor for our anniversary and were greeted by this lovely celebration plate when we arrived at the room which was very thoughtful of the staff. The room was very clean, warm and the views were beautiful! The staff were nice and greeted us. We really enjoyed the cooked breakfast and amazing views in the morning from the hotel resteruant. The location is really handy too, Craig Manor is less than 5 mins walk from high street town and pubs/ bars so really convenient. Absolutely lovely place to stay we really liked it here!
Had an early bird weekend 2 night stay here in November 2025. The hotel is clean and well maintained and room we had was modern and very comfortable - very pleasant residents lounge with views over rugby field and Lake Windermere about a kilometre away but quite visible given trees lakeside trees were not in full leaf. Really good breakfast with everything kept fresh and replenished often by the very attentive kitchen and dining room staff - eggs made to order on request was no problem - Breakfast was a very pleasant experience in a room with full floor to ceiling glass doors and windows to enjoy the view. Balcony terrace seating outside available also. It's a mile walk downhill to the watersedge and cruise terminal the walk back up the hill challenging for the less fit - but only £6 in a taxi back up to hotel and there is a good number of taxis operating at busy times no problem
Me and my partner came here for our anniversary in Autumn and were welcomed by lovely staff members who were friendly, polite, and generous. The breakfast included is delicious and offers a big variety, I will especially mention this hotel's baking of their complimentary room service cookies and breakfast doughnuts. You get an option to takeaway your pastries or hot drink. You also have a beautiful view in the morning for breakfast overlooking the lake and trees. The beds are comfy and room is spacious. Even though we had a view of the busy road, I didn't care as it meant we had a Tawny owl at night in the tree right next to our window. I cannot recommend this place enough, the interior is even professionally designed and we definitely got our money worth with everything we received during our visit! AND the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere is just down the road but not too close that you feel the busyness.
Stayed here in October 2025 for a birthday trip. It was a gorgeous location with great views and lovely interiors, nice and warm too. There was a little biscuit plate and card left in the room from the hotel which was a lovely touch. The hotel was in close walking distance to local amenities and as someone who had never been to the lakes before, I would recommend this as a great starting place for a weekend. The breakfast the next day was fantastic, with lots of options! Particular thanks to Eduardo behind reception who was so attentive, friendly and personable, as were all staff. Would definitely stay again!
Very nice hotel, room was OK for our stay. Buffet breakfast was very good. The only let down was the donuts, they looked so good but unfortunately weren't brilliant
